Playa del Carmen nightlife

Along la Quinta Avenida, there are a number of restaurants that feature live music. Since the restaurants are open to the air, they are easy to locate. A variety of music can be found including reggae, salsa, and rock and roll from various eras. One of the most famous clubs is Capitan Tutix, located on Calle 4 by the beach features dance music. Next door, La Raya has live Salsa music.

If you like surfer music or reggae, El Dragon, located inside the Blue Parrot Inn by the beach on Calle 20, is the place to go on Saturday and Sunday nights. New clubs open frequently, so a brief stroll will allow you sample the selections before making your choice.
