Los Arcos
Offshore the beach of Xcalacoco, 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
Minimum depth 23 m (75 ft).
Maximun depth 30 m (100 ft).
This is a grove reef with excellent coral growth, and lots of fish, turtles, eels, and luck sharks.
Occasional strong current conditions.

Xcalacoco or Green Wall
South Los Arcos, 12 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
Minimum depth 23 m (75 ft).
Maximun depth 30 m (100 ft).
Sea turtles and large groupers are common here. Similar to Los Arcos with excellent coral growth, and lots of fish, turtles, eels and luck sharks.
Occasional strong current conditions.

Moc Che
Located between Punta Xcalacoco and Punta Chenzumbul, 12 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
Minimum depth 10 m (33 ft).
Maximun depth 15 m (48 ft).
Consists of a shallow side patch of spur and grove, lots of seafans and nematocystic corals. Moray eels sightings not uncommon.
Minimal current conditions.

Chenzumbul
In front of Punta Chenzumbul.
Minimum depth 8 m (25 ft).
Maximun depth 12 m (38 ft).
Lots of fish in this shallow patch reef. A hiding for eels and other creatures. Schooling grunts and snappers visible year round.
Mild current conditions.

Jardines
Located several hundred meters offshore, you'll need a boat to reach it.
Minimum depth 8 m (25 ft).
Maximun depth 12 m (38 ft).
A shallow patch reef. Dolphins and sea turtles are sometimes spotted here.
Gentle northern current conditions.

Barracuda
Near the first Mayan ruin north of Xcaret and continuing north.
Minimum depth 8 m (25 ft).
Maximun depth 14 m (48 ft).
Spur, grooves, sea eels, schooling grunts, snappers, barracuda, sponges, corals all common here. Many twists and turns should be expected.
Gentle northern current conditions.
